Thank you for considering Affirmations as your Maine wedding ceremony officiant and congratulations on your engagement!
The decision to marry is an exciting one. I would be honored to take part by officiating your marriage ceremony. No Maine wedding ceremony officiant delivers a higher level of service, dedication, facilitation, expertise or flexibility.
Personal service: It is a privilege to be given the responsibility of officiating your marriage here in Maine. From your first inquiry to the filing of your marriage license, I handle each task personally.
Dedication: I strive to exceed your expectations. Need to call me after hours, even quite late? No problem. Looking for local recommendations and don’t see what you need on my Vendors page? Just ask. I’m happy to help with anything you need. Don’t think of me as just a seasoned Maine marriage officiant – Think of me as a general resource.
Event facilitation: Every detail is addressed at your wedding rehearsal and in the moments before your wedding ceremony begins. Everyone involved will be comfortable and prepared. I’ll also coordinate with your vendors, allowing us all to do the best jobs we possibly can.
Expertise: (As much as I hate to admit I’m old enough to have been doing weddings this long) I bring the experience of having performed hundreds of ceremonies over the past 18 years down the aisle with me. I consistently deliver engaging ceremonies which stir heartwarming emotion, laughter, and of course, just the right amount of guest-envy! Using all sorts of tricks I’ve learned over the years, it’s smooth sailing for a flawless service.
Flexibility: Non-traditional marriages are the specialty of notaries public. As your officiant, I will hike trails, walk beaches, board vessels, don skis and brave the elements to officiate at your favorite Maine destination. When it comes to writing the ceremony, your personal style, spiritual position and unique family structure is embraced.
Service after the service: I personally hand deliver your marriage license to the town office in all but the rarest of circumstances. Hand delivery prevents the original marriage license from being lost in the mail. Trust me, that’s a hassle that nobody wants or needs. Your license is kept on file in my office indefinitely should you ever need a copy.
Last but definitely not least…
Fun! Your day should be full of fun. I’m a wedding officiant, not a funeral practitioner. So let’s keep this light!
Now, for some housekeeping items:
Links & Resources: Please take some time to look around on this site. All links to outside sites are informational and useful. The “Local Vendors” page provides a list of local Maine wedding vendors offering services such as photography, catering and cosmetology. I recommend these vendors based on my personal knowledge of their talent and professionalism.
Blog: Blog postings are listed to the right of every page under the “Something Old” and “Something New” titles, as well as under the “Wedding Blog” page in the main navigation menu at the top of each page. News, events and promotions are posted to the blog. Photos and highlights of actual weddings are also added from time to time. Blogs are informal and are a good way to get a feel for my personal style.
Contact: Contact information is found at the very bottom of each page, or by clicking on “Contact” in the main menu at the top of each page. Please feel free to call or email with any questions. Evening and weekend contacts are welcomed.
